FUNZONE SKATE CENTER!

 Welcome to the new Fun Zone Skate Center now located in Dothan, Alabama!

New owners, Rocky & Lisa McIlwain would like to announce the grand opening of the new Fun Zone Skate Center, formerly the Playground, on June 15! A devastating tornado destroyed their Montgomery, Alabama Fun Zone on November 15, 2006. 

In a matter of seconds the building was completely gone. The 31 children and 11 staff members who were inside miraculously survived. The couple worked to rebuild their business while communities from far and wide reached out to them...including the Wiregrass!  

The McIlwains were approached to purchase the Playground located off of Westgate Parkway. After many visits to Dothan to inspect the building and the area, the family made the big decision to move to the Southeast corner of Alabama. In addition to Rocky and Lisa came their 6 children! The family is excited to be here and offer this fun-filled, family environment! Fun Zone Skate Center will offer roller skating, laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games, a gyroscopic virtual simulator chair, jump shot basketball, soft play toddler zone (48" and below only), party rooms, pizza buffet eatery, and so much more! 

Fun Zone also offers an exciting after school program for children called After School Zone for children 5 to 12 years old.  We know how to mix fun and learning! Kids will be picked up from area schools in our Fun Zone buses. Once they arrive they will enjoy some of our delicious snacks from the Pizza Buffet and Eatery such as pizza, hot dogs, corn dogs, chicken nuggets, nachos, and more. The kids will have help from a tutor to do their homework; then they can take part in the fun activities that Fun Zone has to offer. Parents can pick up their children by 6 pm and enjoy dinner with us! They can pick up a whole pizza to go or dig into our pizza buffet. After School Zone will begin in the fall when classes start. Registration is starting now! You can have your child registered for $42 and enjoy free entry to Fun Zone at any other time.   

Fun Zone can also be rented out for private events just for your group.  Is your company looking for a fun place to hold its next event? Look no further, we can accommodate any need. Is your child having a birthday party? family reunion? church outing? Do you have an adult party, and are looking for an after hours location to hold your private event?  We can make it happen!  Call us to help plan your next event!

Rocky & Lisa are "hands-on" owners and operators of Fun Zone. They take pride in managing their facility. They maintain normal office hours and are always on site working during open business hours. You will be glad to know that every aspect of Fun Zone is monitored and supervised by the owners. Whether it is an All-Night Lock-In or a Saturday night, you can find Rocky & Lisa at work.
